When you arrive for your stay, you’ll explore the beauties of St. Thomas, set among a backdrop of the clear, turquoise waters of the Caribbean. You’ll be pampered by some of the finest restaurants & catered to like royalty. With one of the most diverse selections of therapies & spa treatments in the Virgin Islands.

Amethyst Bay’s seaside enclave spa offers ocean-inspired relaxation & island indulgences. They welcome you, hoping to calm your senses & rejuvenate your body with their authentic tropical island sanctuary. It is the perfect place for romance & enjoying the comforts of your special someone.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
PROBLEM:

Amethyst Bay desires a print & media campaign to help entice new customers to St. Thomas’ Amethyst Bay Resort & Spa, focusing on the lush amenities of their high-end spa resort.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Featuring adult beverages, Amethyst Bay's Spa attracts a 21 & up crowd; however, it also is family-friendly. Paired with the resort, a relaxing place that can take everyday cares away.

CONSTRAINTS:

Turn around time for project was roughly two weeks, with imagery being catered to the advertisement creation & highlighting the resort.

TASKS:

Initial audience & content analysis, imagery (Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator)

DESIGN RATIONALE:

The client requested the ad feature a promotion to entice bookings. Two promotions were offered: a package for two people at $999 per person, for six nights, or an alternat epackage for two people forfour nights, at $699 per person. Each offer came with a free gift, which was featured, as well.



SPECIFICATIONS

DESIGN GUIDANCE

The logo for this project was supplied by the client. Color family was selected to coordinate with HEX values #592C82 & #87E1D1. The font family Arial was chosen for its cleanliness & ability to feature several weights for emphasizing. The client specifically requested a feel in line with these HEX values and the font family. An image library was supplied by the resort; however, variation was welcomed within the same feeling.
